Insurance Reimbursement:
Rapid Speech Therapy LLC is a private pay therapy provider. Payments are made using credit, debit, cash, Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards, or Health Savings Account (HSA) cards. - We do not partner with any commercial insurance providers (e.g., Cigna, BCBS United Healthcare, etc.), Medicare, or Medicaid plans.
Clients have the option to receive an itemized medical invoice (i.e., a "Superbill") after each therapy session that can be submitted directly to their health insurance company for potential reimbursement. - Clients are responsible for familiarizing themselves with their insurance benefits and reimbursement policies.
Questions to ask your Insurance Provider - Seeking Reimbursements:
"I am interested in getting my child speech-language services. What Out-Of-Network benefits do you offer with my insurance plan?"
"I would like to submit a Superbill, or an itemized medical receipt, for potential reimbursement for speech-language therapy. Can you tell me how that process works?"
What is a Superbill:
The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) describes Superbills as: "A standard form a private practice or clinic can use to collect key information required to submit health care claims to payers, including patient information, billing codes, and associated fees. A superbill can also serve as an itemized record of services to give directly to the patient. The patient may use this form to file for reimbursement from the health plan when they have paid for audiology or speech-language pathology services out-of-pocket."

Literacy Instruction - The Orton Gillingham Approach:
The Orton Gillingham (OG) Approach was developed for people with language-based learning disabilities (like dyslexia), and is considered the gold standard approach for struggling readers.
OG is a structured literacy approach, meaning it emphasizes highly explicit and systematic teaching of all important components of literacy. This includes both foundational skills (e.g., decoding, spelling) and higher-level skills (e.g., reading comprehension, written expression). OG utilizes sequential lessons paired with multisensory instruction (i.e., sight, hearing, touch, and movement) to teach literacy skills.
Good Faith Estimates:
All healthcare providers are now required to inform current and potential clients about Good Faith Estimates: You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate which will include information about how much your medical services will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected chargers for medical services, including speech-language therapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services (including speech-language services). You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. It is recommended that you save a copy of your Good Faith Estimate for your personal records.
